Historical Information:

We possess extensive scanned construction records which provided this information.

Initial entries on a Prussian cadastral map suggest thatthe house was built sometime after1931.According to our research,the house has been family-owned since then.The family-operated business (photo shop) was established in1937.

On February3rd ,1945,the house was heavily damaged by aerial combat and had to be demolished.The basement was not affected; today there remains an air-raid shelter there.
After cleanup was completed,the military authority approved rebuilding.The work beganin June1946.The approved plan was to builda “emergency residence”—a single-story dwelling.In various phases,the property was later expandedand modernized.

In1952,the conversion to a one-and-a-half-story house with gabled roof began,inclusiveof an integrated retail unit with display windowand shop door.

In1958,a building permit was issued for an extension tothe boundary ofthe property(increasingthe photo lab)and for constructinga garage.

In1973,the existing residential and commercial buildingwas expanded laterallywith an extensionthat closedthe gapto theneighboring houseand overbuiltthe existing garage.

In1993,the housewas expandedto includean atelier,and attachedto an existing garage.

The most recent expansion took placein2006 whenan extension was raisedand covered with a pent roof.
